Using the Expression Pedal for Effect Speed

In section 6.1.2 Modulation Effects, the manual says that you can set the speed of an effect "by tapping at the TAP key in the rhythm of music." This seems to infer that this is the only way to record the speed of an effect for a patch. Here is an easier way with more control than the tap-tap method.

1. Assign the expression pedal to control effect speed.
Press the Delay and Reverb buttons at the same time to activate Pedal mode.
PA should appear in the LED window.
Press your desired effect module button to enter edit mode.
Press the TAP button, pause, press the TAP button again (speed doesn't matter here).
Press Delay and Reverb at the same time to save your assignment.
Exit edit mode of the effect module.

2. Use the expression pedal to find the speed you want in your patch.

3. Press the Save button until it blinks and then again until it goes black.

You have updated the patch with the new effect speed.
